Tatratea comes from the expanse of the High Tatras and is the latest product of the renowned Karloff distillery, which has established itself in a very short time with the production of noble distillates in the spirits sector beyond the borders of Slovakia. Karloff stands for quality from Slovakia. Just as the Austrians have their Jagertee, there are also centuries old recipes in the High Tatras, which are used to sit together on a cold winter evening in the hut and warm up with a glass of "tea".

Karloff has compiled these recipes and made it his mission to make these regional delicacies accessible to a wider audience. The TATRATEA Collection contains some of these recipes in different flavors and alcohol strengths.

THE IDEA

If you visit the High Tatras and their typical "robber's huts", hot Tatras tea will be served with a shot of alcohol as an aperitif specialty. For years, Karloff had been considering the idea of bringing this specialty into every household and the gastronomy, making it accessible to the masses, even outside the High Tatras. The idea took shape for the first time in 2003, the year in which TATRATEA's production began. After about one year of development Karloff started the marketing of TATRATEA 52% Original in early 2004.

TATRATEA is put together in the balance between the finest alcohol, natural extracts of mountain plants and high-quality teas, fruit essences, distillates and clean Tatra water.
