The Barceló Imperial from the Dominican Republic is a true classic among the mature rums.

Don Miguel Barceló first produced the ten-year "Ron Barceló Imperial" in 1980, exactly half a century after the founding of Julian Barceló. Two decades later, he received the "Best Rum in the World" award from the prestigious Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago, scoring 97 out of 100 possible points. With its taste for butterscotch, dried apples and pears, brown spices as well as a hint of tobacco leaves and pepper, it delights rum connoisseurs all over the world, who prefer to drink it pure or on ice.
