Becherovka, produced since 1807 according to a top secret recipe from various herbs and spices, is one of the most popular herbal liqueurs in the Czech Republic. It comes without the addition of artificial flavorings and colorings.

Becherovka herbal liqueur is produced according to a top-secret recipe dating back to 1807, which can be traced back to pharmacist Josef Vitus Becher from the Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary. In the 1960s, under the leadership of Václav Lupínek, Becherovka became one of the country's best-known liqueur brands. It consists of a secret, 20-part mixture of herbs and spices, Karlovy Vary water, natural sugar and alcohol. During the production process, the herbs are immersed in a tank of alcohol for about a week to ferment. After mixing all the basic ingredients, there follows several weeks of aging, double filtering, a freezing phase and laboratory evaluation to ensure that the freshly created liqueur meets the quality requirements.
