"Genmai green tea"

"Genmaicha" means "brown rice" and "tea" in Japanese (玄米茶), and is a type of Japanese green tea blended with roasted brown rice. This gives the tea a slightly malty flavor that is a little like drinking coffee.

Genmai tea is made with around 50% brown rice. This reduces its caffeine content, making it particularly suitable for caffeine-sensitive people or in the evening. The roasted rice has a warming, calming effect on the body and is better for the stomach and digestion.
