Particularly at a time when global alcohol consumption is on the decline and there is an increasing focus on health well-being, they felt it was important to follow suit. The Swiss produce their promille-free alternatives by double distilling selected organic botanicals to mimic the taste of the original spirits. But that's not all: by adding a tiny bit of chili extract, they can even mimic the slight alcoholic burn in the throat. For their 0.0% rum alternative, Christof and Janick combine oak bark extract, sugar cane molasses, sugar cane syrup, and various herb and spice distillates with water, natural flavors, and a spice extract.
