With Hendrick's Lunar Gin, the team around master distiller Lesley Gracie brought out a sipping gin in 2020 that is entirely under the sign of the moon. The limited edition is the fourth variant of the world-famous Hendrick's Gin after Orbium (2018), Midsummer Solstice (2019) and Amazonia (2020). Allegedly, the Lunar Gin was enriched with botanicals that blossom under the light of the full moon - however, official sources are very cagey with further details. It is known, however, that the Lunar Gin has aromatic, floral and spicy notes with citrus-fresh hints. The gin is said to be the perfect companion to "moonbathing" - this practice is being courted by the Hendrick's team as an alternative to sunbathing in the glaring heat of the day. Ultimately, of course, it doesn't matter whether you taste Lunar Gin at night or during the day, under a full moon or a new moon, outdoors or indoors. With its mild, mellow, floral and spicy flavor, Lunar Gin is perfect to be served neat at room temperature - then the aromas of lemongrass, rosewater, cardamom, vanilla, orange, juniper, pepper, lavender and hibiscus are particularly distinct.
