The Smokehead is a very smoky single malt whiskey.

Smokehead Whisky is an own brand of the company Ian Macleod Distillers LTD. The independent bottler of Scotch malt whisky, blended whisky, vodka, gin, rum and wine has been present as a family business since the 1940s and calls a huge stock of casks its own. After production, the spirits spend their very last hours at the bottling plant in Broxburn in the Scottish Lowlands.

Smokehead lives up to its name, as it is a strongly smoky, peaty, spicy and maritime whisky from Islay. From which of the eight Islay distilleries the distillate for the single malt ultimately comes, is not revealed. Other details about the whiskey are also not disclosed to interested customers, who instead concentrate entirely on putting the spirit itself in the foreground.
