CORUBA NPU Rum Geschenkset mit Messing JIGGER 70 cl / 40 % Jamaica

The classic of rum Coruba with the predicate N.P.U. - like Non-plus-ultra. It is popular for its fiery bouquet, its power and its gentle sweetness. Slightly nutty, reminiscent of coffee and cocoa and has a slight vanilla note. Its spicy fragrance reflects the sun of its native Jamaica. That is why Coruba NPU is one of the most popular brown rums in Switzerland and Austria.

It all started more than 120 years ago with a merchant from Basel, Switzerland, who was looking for delicious things all over the world. One day, a ship took him to faraway Jamaica, where he discovered a distillate called "rum". After the first glass of the delicious drink, it was clear to him: I will bring this real, honest rum to the people of Europe.

Thus, in 1889, he founded the Compagnie Rhumière de Bâle in his hometown. Since the name of his company was too long for this fine rum, the brand name CORUBA was derived from his initials. Since that time, this original Jamaica rum has gained friends all over the world.

In 1929, the Rum Company Kingston was founded under the direction of Rudolf Waeckerlin-Fiechter to ensure the best quality in the selection of raw materials and the entire production process of rum in Jamaica. Since 1962, Coruba Rum has been produced by Wray & Nephews, the best known rum producer in Jamaica. The blending and bottling for all Europe still takes place in the rum company in Basel.
