The bottle shape is based on an old Irish milk bottle. The label, which is inspired by an old Irish matchbox, shows the Irish jockey "Shanky", a wild young race rider. Shanky always went his own way: he liked the idea of Irish whiskey, but he couldn't stand the spiciness. He liked the taste of cream, but not the texture. And he loved stout beer, which is naturally black. Suddenly he had a flash of inspiration and Shanky's Whip Original Black Irish Whiskey Liqueur was born: a blend of black Irish whiskey, Irish spirits, natural cream flavoring and vanilla.
