The Saltet Caramel liqueur from Baileys not only contains cream from the famous dairy cows and Irish whisky, but also a pinch of salt and caramel.

David Dand is considered the creator of the world-famous cream liqueur. Nobody really knows where the name Baileys comes from: the company once claimed that a certain Mr. Bailey gave the drink its name, but this was a hoax. The history of the drink began in Dublin in 1974, when David and his team began experimenting with Irish creamed milk and whisky. It took them three years to find a way to prevent the two main ingredients from separating again. It was similarly tricky to set the shelf life to two years. In 2005, the company began to diversify its range and launched the Mint Chocolate and Crème Caramel varieties. A little later, Baileys was launched with a coffee flavor and now Baileys Salted Caramel. You can either drink it neat with an ice cube or simply use it as an ingredient in a Baileys dessert
