David Dand is considered the creator of the world famous cream liqueur. No one knows exactly where the name Baileys comes from: the company once said that a certain Mr. Bailey was the name giver, but this was cheating. The story of the drink began in Dublin in 1974, when David and his team started experimenting with Irish milk cream and whiskey. It took them three years to find a way to prevent the two main ingredients from separating again. It was similarly tricky to set the shelf life to two years. One of Baileys' secrets to success is the "Baileys Ladies", the approximately 38,000 dairy cows that graze on Irish pastures 300 days a year and produce 220 million liters of dairy cream. There are also whiskeys from various national distilleries, vanilla and cocoa beans. In 2005, the company began to diversify its product range.
Strawberries & Cream is a seasonal special edition from 2018 with the taste of sweet strawberries. The color of the liqueur is about the same as the bottle shows: a milky, delicate pink.
