The French producer Ôdevie enriched the market with this Purple Gin: The innovative spirit with the ruby red color contains polyphenols (aromatic compounds) as well as anthocyanins (plant pigments), which are found in high concentrations in grapes and are therefore normally found in red wine instead of gin. So of course it's no wonder that the "haute couture" bottle is wrapped in purple grapes! However, the gin is not only enriched with grapes, but also with pink grapefruit and Nepalese Timut pepper. This is evident in the taste: in addition to juniper, it is the flavors of grapefruit, pepper and lime that stand out. The influence of the grapes is equally clear - not only from the color, but also from the fine acidity and the slight bitterness coming from the tannins.
