This white mulled wine is to remind of the times so significant for Nuremberg. It follows a centuries-old drinking tradition, the so-called spiced wine, made from white wine from the Nuremberg area. It was sweetened with honey, which was provided by the Zeidler guild of the Reichswald.

The exquisite spices were contributed by the so-called "Nuremberg Pfeffersäcke", merchants who traded with the delicacies from distant countries between Venice and the Hanseatic cities.

Today, Nuremberg mulled wine is so well known as a special quality product that it is protected in the EU.
