Is an ocher-colored top-fermented monastery beer with an alcohol content of 6.7%. The use of 'Gatinais' malt, combined with carefully selected hops, results in a balanced, fruity and malty beer with a mild taste.

The monastery Grimbergen was founded in 1128 by St. Norbert. In the turbulent history of the monastery, it was destroyed four times and rebuilt. Since then, the monastery has the Phoenix as a symbol with the inscription "Ardet Nec Consumitur" - "Burned but not destroyed". In 1956, the monastery entered into an agreement with the Maes Brewery to develop various monastic beers. Maes entered into a joint venture with the Alken breweries - together they are now Alken Maes.
